Best 12 Month CD Rates Florida

When looking to invest in the best 12 month CD rates, Florida is not without choices. For residents of Florida, a 12 month CD from their local banks may just be worth investing in.

With BankTrust’s main office in Santa Rosa Beach and locations in Panama City Beach, Crestview, DeFuniak Springs, Destin, Freeport, Grayton Beach, Lynn Haven, and Niceville, residents will have no trouble investing in their 12 months CD.

BankTrust CDs require a minimum opening deposit of $500 to obtain the APY. The interest is compounded monthly on all CD’s. Their 12 months CD has an interest rate of 2.000% with an APY of 2.018% and is automatically renewable.

The Central Bank out of Tampa, Florida is currently offering special CDs with their 13 month CD and the 15 month CD. Like the rest of their regular CDs, these special CDs require a minimum deposit of $2500 to obtain APY and the interest is compounded daily. Their special 13 months CD has an interest rate of 1.78% with an APY of 1.80%.

Their special 15 months CD has an interest rate of 1.98% with an APY of 2.00%. These CDs will then renew at the regular 12 months CD rate which currently has an interest rate of 1.34% with an APY of 1.35%.

Formerly known as the Bank of Fort Walton when they first opened their doors in 1948, First City Bank’s CDs require a minimum deposit of $1000 to obtain APY. Their 12 month CD has an interest rate of 1.80% with an APY of 1.80%.

Other banks with great 12 months CD rates worth checking out are First Florida Bank, OptimumBank, and Ameris Bank. Needless to say, rates are subject to change without notice.

These are the Sunshine State’s best 12 month CD rates.  Florida residents have better choices in their local banks than the national average for a 12 month CD which is 1.52%.
