Chicago Money in the Bank Deal: CD Rates with Washington Federal Bank for Savings at 2.10% APY for 7 to 13-month CD terms
Posted on November 4th, 2009
Washington Federal Bank for Savings offers special top cd rates of 2.10% APY for their 7-, 9-, 11-, and 13-month terms. The current cd rate is very attractive for certificates of deposit on a short haul. These CDs require new money.
The special interest rates for the promo certificates are bit better than what they offer back in August when a 6-month CD earns 1.96% APY. It is a good thing to see a better special rate.
It seems that a branch visit is necessary to open an account. They have a branch at 2869 South Archer Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Another office is at 1410 West Taylor Street.
You can see this best interest rate promo on the front page of their website and you can also check them out on their rates table. Please note that the bank can change these interest rates anytime. They are accurate as of October 20.
Interested individuals should also inquire about fees which may affect the earnings of your savings.
Washington Federal Bank for Savings has very strong ratings. Bankrate.com issued 4 stars for soundness and safety while BauerFinancial gave 5 stars for its performance.
The bank is covered by the FDIC through certificate number 30570.
