7.00% APY best savings interest rate with Chevron Federal Credit Union, good for deposits through $1,000

Chevron Federal Credit Union offers a competitive interest rate for their savings account called MySavings. The high yield savings account earns 7.00% APY for funds through and including $1,000. Any deposit above $1,000 still earns a competitive interest rate of 0.80% APY which is given to their regular share savings account.
The minimum balance needed for this high interest savings account is just $25.
The MySavings account is offered to members who are 21 years old or younger. This is an inverted savings account where the lowest of balances get the highest interest rates. The more you put into it the lesser it earns. It is a good starter for a savings account.
Deposits can be sent through electronic transfer, wire, setup as a direct deposit, sent by mail, or personally forwarded to a branch.

Greylock Federal Credit Union offers competitive cd rates which you can enjoy for an initial deposit of $1,000. The current cd rates are as follows:

Northwest Federal Credit Union offers consumers their best cd rates for their midterm and long-term certificate of deposits. The most competitive interest rates are offered for their 2-year CD earning 2.12% APY and 5-year CD with 3.25% APY. These require a minimum funding of $2,500 and have a cap of $25,000.

If you live in Missouri, you could take advantage of a competitive 2.26% APY 12-month CD from 1st Financial Federal Credit Union in Missouri. This AY is also available on the 18-month CD. This rate and others are listed on the credit union’s rates page.

Top CD Rates with NASA Federal Credit Union now at 3.50% APY for 55-month deal, 2.25% APY for 18-month term

NASA Federal Credit Union is pushing for their September certificate of deposit specials which has top cd rates of 3.50% APY for their 55-month deal. There are also CD specials that give their best cd rates for an 18-month term at 2.25% APY while 9-month CD gains 1.65% APY.
The highest cd rates can be enjoyed by consumers with an initial deposit of $5,000. These certificates of deposit are also available as ESA and IRA.
The September interest rates are a bit lower than the August and July special when the union was offering a 50-month CD as high as 4.00% APY.
Some members of the union reported that the cd rates do not change during the CD’s term unless NASA FCU will advise you a month before the decrease.
The union imposes a penalty of 180 days of earnings for an early withdrawal. They also give a 10-day grace period to the account holder upon the maturity of the certificate of deposit. <
